Prototype Highlights
A Collection of small parts of prototypes worth mentioning.
A collection of prototypes or Jam games that didn't quite make the cut but in which there are highlights worth mentioning. It might be a cool gameplay mechanic, a game without many technical challenges, or simply a simple game too small to be on a separate page.
Santa's Drone
A web-based Arcade shooting game.
I think this game is worth mentioning because it shows how "rapid" I can be as a game dev.

The Original Game

The Glitching Version

The Original Game
-
This rapid prototype was built in two weeks, and I was the only programmer on the five-person team.
-
We had to build the game using Phaser and Javascript, none of which I had experience with at the time.
-
Months later, I decided to add a spooky postprocessing effect to it using GLSL.
(I call it the Glitching Santa's Drone)
Go Feed Peter
A parrot-feeding card game.
-
Entry for GMTK Game Jam 2022 placed 30% in creativity. My first solo game jam.
-
Uses scriptable objects to represent the cards. Uses Scriptable Object Event to decouple the card effects.
-
A not-too-successful attempt to create synergies.
The Ice We Skate
A skating game.

When the skater draws a circle on the ice, the encircled ice tiles break, and the enemies drop into the water!
-
Uses DFS to find out when there is a circle and what tiles to break.
